An Archangel according to Oxford American dictionary an angel of high rank: in traditional Christian angelology, a being of the eighth order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy. The origin of the word is Middle English, from Anglo-Norman French archangele, via ecclesiastical Latin from ecclesiastical Greek arkhangelos, from arki-'chief' + angelos 'messenger, angel.' People who have encountered archangels, including those who have summoned them and prophets in the Bible, have said before that archangels are Prince's among angels.
